In Stage 1, you’ll learn what consulting actually is and begin exploring how your academic expertise, interests, and skills can translate into consulting work.

In Stage 2, we’ll address the mindset barriers that often hold academics back—things like self-doubt, perfectionism, or feeling like you need another credential first. You’ll start to build your consulting identity and practice thinking and showing up as a consultant in small, daily ways.

In Stage 3, you’ll see what the shift from academic to consultant truly looks like. You’ll learn how consultants think, act, and deliver value—what kinds of services you might offer, who might need them, and how to start building connections that could lead to your first client.

You’re not alone. Most of our clients are new to client work. That’s exactly what Get SET is built for.

In Get SET, we guide you step by step through your first consulting engagement from the very beginning to the final deliverable and payment. You’ll learn how to communicate with a client, define the scope of work, set expectations, manage challenges, deliver results that make an impact, and get paid to do it all. 

Along the way, you’ll get the templates, scripts, and structure to follow so you always know what to do next. We take the mystery out of client work and show you what “good consulting” looks like in practice.  

You’ll also get six months of monthly coaching meetings where you and all of our coaching clients can meet with us virtually to ask your questions in a thriving and uplifting community – this is a chance to both learn from your Coachibly mentors and see what others just like you are up to!

By the end of Get SET, you’ll have everything you need complete a full consulting project and you’ll know enough of the basics to work with your first client.
